Great for anyone who’s interested in the history of NYC or maybe has some family history going in there.

I wish Chicago would do the same thing!  One of my grandfather’s uncles may or may not have been whacked by the mafia (he fell from a balcony.  It could could very well have been an accident, but come on, it’s Chicago in the 1920s) and I’d looove to learn more about the case.

Sakura Cake

This is one of the most beautifully dainty cakes I have ever seen - a whole cherry blossom flower is set in very light pink jelly. The jelly has a faint sweet floral taste and slightly fragrant.
